The BACH Consultative and Information Office operates under the aegis of the Caritas Catolica Oradea. The BACH is also a branch office of a nationwide
consultative network which tries to ameliorate the living standards of the mentally and
physically challenged individuals and supports them in finding their place in the community
they are living in.
The program's institutional framework is assured by the Romanian Confederation, which is
sponsored by the Deutscher Caritasverband.
Our office offers: consulting, legal advising, purchasing of protheses
and other medical aids. Apart from these, the office successfully runs two active self-help
groups for the parents of those children who are suffering of either phenylketonury, a rare
genetic disease, or autism and organizes meetings and outdoor activities for disabled
individuals and their families.
The aim of the BACH office's diverse activity is to educate the society to overcome
prejudices and to accept the persons with disabilities.
The BACH Office in Salaj County functioning since 2004 is also run by the Caritas Catolica Oradea.
